Accounts administrator required for a sporting goods outlet in Stockport. We are a friendly family run business with a busy workload and we are looking for a team member to join us in our accounts department on a full time basis, salary will be negotiable dependent on experience.

**Bookkeeping Duties to include**
- Paying supplier invoices in a timely manner and taking all reasonable discounts.
- Ensuring that receivables are collected promptly.
- Creating and issuing invoices to customers.
- Managing petty cash fund.
- Maintaining filing system.
- Purchase ledger invoice processing and payment runs
- Liaising with senior management regularly.
- Doing daily banking
- Dealing with export customers
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- PayPal reconciliations
- Foreign Currency accounts and payments
- Statement reconciliations

**Office Admin Duties to include**
- Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, etc, to produce correspondence and documents and to maintain records, spreadsheets and databases.
- Maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems.
- Liaising with staff members in other departments and with external contacts.
- Ordering and maintaining stationery and office equipment.
- Opening, sorting and distributing incoming correspondence.
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for Director and Managers.
- Photocopying, printing, scanning and other general office duties.

**Basic Requirements for Role**
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office package and good numerical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Organised and methodical approach to record keeping and reporting.
- Have attention to detail.
- Honesty and discretion when handling confidential information, financial or otherwise.
- Self-motivated but works equally well in a team environment.

**Desirable Skills, Abilities & Experience**

**Experience using Sage 50 Accounts is essential**
