HR and Compliance Assistant

Marshdale Construction is hiring, and we would like you to join our team as our HR & Compliance Assistant.
Marshdale Construction offers construction services to various sectors, with works ranging from civils to refurbishments, mechanical and electrical, and much more
**About you**:
You will be confident in liaising with various people at different levels throughout the organisation.
Relevant experience assisting with employee relations matters, with a background of working in a construction environment, is desirable.
You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment where last-minute changes can happen and enjoy working in a small team.
You will possess excellent communication skills.
You will be highly organised and able to solve problems.
You can bring forward ideas and suggestions for continuously improving processes and procedures.
**Duties**
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries
- Assist with policy and procedure writing.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including, but not limited to, absence management and performance reviews.
- Assist with the HR information system.
- Attending meetings to take minutes and issue out.
- Maintain the skills and competency matrix.
- Coordinate training courses to include booking and coordinating staff attendance.
- Order and issue company PPE and uniform.
- Coordinate prison vetting and DBS checks.
- Assist with document control for company operating paperwork.
- Maintain company accreditations such as Safe Contractor and ConstructionLine - training will be provided.
- Be the administrator for Sentinel. Training for this will also be provided.
Due to our location, you are advised to hold a valid driving licence with access to your own transport for easy commuting.
