**Autism Consultant Team Leader**

Permanent - Part Time

**Location**:

- Trafford/Hybrid working (half office - half home based)

We have an excellent opportunity, for a dedicated and committed individual to lead and manage our team of Consultants to develop and deliver a range of services through the unique perspective of ‘experts by experience’.

Company consultants are autistic and/or have learning disabilities and provide advice and guidance to our organisation on all areas to maximise our efficiency and support and ensure we are fully inclusive.

This is a hybrid role, based in Trafford with essential travel across Greater Manchester and may include potential diversification of services into other geographical areas where further travel may be required.

**Responsibilities -**
- Leadership and Team Management
- Provide support, leadership and guidance to the team through mentoring, positive examples and the promotion of person-centred approaches and in accordance with comoany values.
- Manage the staffing resources of the service including effective allocation
- Undertake regular supervision meetings with Consultants, identifying development opportunities where required
- Ensure staff are effectively recruited, onboarded and inducted through Company induction procedures where required
- Ensure staff are given the appropriate mandatory and bespoke training to perform in their roles
- Manage and support staff at return to work meetings following sickness absence with guidance from Area Manager/HR.
- Manage performance issues engaging the appropriate informal/formal processes where necessary and with guidance from Area Manager/HR.
- Ensure all staff have an up to date and live Personal Development Plan (PDP)
- Facilitate team meetings, acting as Chair when required.

**Service Development and Management**
- Actively seek and identify new business opportunities to further develop the services provided, both internally and externally
- Establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
- Deliver work commissioned in accordance with the contract
- Ensure that services are effectively administrated including oversight of booking, invoicing and payments
- Follow all relevant organisational and local policies and procedures.
- Undertake quality and Health and safety checks as required
- Take responsibility for legal notifications in respect to Health and Safety requirements

**Person Specification**
- Essential_
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative under remote management
- Proactive and confident to identify and develop new ideas
- Must have experience of working with/supporting autistic people and people with a learning disability/mental health needs
- An understanding of the Equality Act and reasonable adjustments
- Experience of supervising and motivating staff, particularly remote team management
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- IT literate and confident in the use of different IT systems / packages
- Willing to undertake required training, sometimes off site and outside normal working hours
- Willing and able to travel between locations as required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
