Shepherd Neame are looking for a Systems Administrator who will manage and administer our Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions, database and infrastructure. To ensure our system’s perform to their optimum level of performance and provide operational support for all underpinning technologies.

You will be an experienced IT systems administrator generalist with a friendly and flexible approach. We are looking for a problem solver who can think “outside of the box” and who is happy to be hands on when required. You will need to approach the role with a procedural mind-set and have the ability to follow and to own processes. You will be a skilled at multi-tasking and know how to effectively prioritise responsibilities in order to best support the team and our customers.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Manage and deliver robust, reliable and high performing technologies that align with business needs and adhere to targets set out in Service Level Agreements
- Ensure the ERP system is updated with the most recent releases and patch levels and safeguard them with the relevant supporting documentation
- Optimise the Database and Applications Administration systems to perform at their optimum level
- Regularly test back-up and restoration plans to establish they are secure and authorisations are managed and controlled
- Provide an excellent customer service, focusing on meeting quality, communication and time parameters
- Continue to build a cohesive and productive environment within the department
- Adhere to all processes and services offered by the IT department and promote these wherever possible
- Be an ambassador for the IT department, ensuring end-users feel confident and happy

**Skills & Experience**
- Broad knowledge of operational ERP, IT & data communications systems & technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with all colleagues, customers, stakeholders and third parties
- Organised with good attention to detail and quality orientated
- Ability to plan, organise & motivate self & help others
- Excellent communication skills, client & customer facing
- Ability to adapt to changes in technology, people and process
- Effectively manage competing demands in a time efficient manner
- Excellent technical and strong problem solving skills
- Prepared to challenge the status quo and be critical friend to key stakeholders
- Previous experience of till systems and hotel booking systems would be advantageous but training will be given.
- Able to manage and accurately record process change to help align people with process and technological tools.

**Systems**

It will beneficial to have experience of the following:

- Experience of SAP purchasing release strategies
- Knowledge & Experience of Microsoft Windows Server
- Database Administration of Microsoft SQL Server
- VMWare (v5) experience could be useful
- BI Development, Data Warehousing
- Knowledge of SAN technologies and replicated environments
- Currently migrating to Azure so knowledge of cloud, networking and modern workplace technologies would be useful.
- Rounded view of business systems and the ERP landscape to help feed into and support Shepherd Neame’s transformation & modernisation plans
- Able to convey technical concepts to less technical orientated people.
