We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Technician to join our team here at our company.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- To provide first class support and assistance to IT users
- To provide effective and efficient first line resolution to incidents to the satisfaction of the customer
- Manage and distribute escalated calls to appropriate members of the IT Team
- Follow up outstanding work and keep customers up to date with progress
- Provide support for mobile communication devices
- Communicate with 3rd party service providers
- Software builds of new and reissued Laptops
- Carry out hand-over of new equipment to staff locally or in branch offices
- To assist to maintain the Asset Registers as required
- To create, delete and modify user accounts as required in line with IT Policy
- Install, set-up and support hardware, software, communications, and peripherals within the computer network
- Assist all users with systems and software difficulties, by providing telephone and remote support and provide this support on site, where necessary.
- Assist with management and support of back-office servers and communications equipment as required
- Assist with IT projects, such as the installation of remote sites/office moves/software roll outs
- Maintain the anti-malware protection systems in accordance with policy
- Assist with the development and maintenance of data structures, document templates and users’ security
- Carry out additional IT related tasks or services as required
**Competency Profile**:
- Recognised qualification in Information Technology - ITIL V4 / Comptia A+ / MCP
- Technical expertise and a record of achievement in delivering support to IT users
- Patience and empathy when dealing with remote users
- Determination to resolve issues without cutting corners or compromising the business
- General willingness to help and be supportive
- Able to work on a flexible basis with regards to working hours (some travel may be required)
- Attention to detail
- Competent IT skills
