**Duties will include**
- To ensure the timely accurate processing of payroll and related statutory returns
- To ensure that statutory pension requirements are met
- Work closely with other departments, assisting Line Managers to understand and implement payroll policies and procedures
- Work with HR department to ensure disclosure requests are administered on a timely basis and any anomalies are reported to the HR Manager
- Payroll processing; ensure that any overtime on the T&A system is duly authorised and that the data is exported / entered onto the Sage payroll system
- Responsible for administering the Company pension, child voucher and any tax related schemes
- To provide payroll analyses for management account purposes and year end statutory account analyses
- Overview of year end payroll returns and all relevant HMRC statutory returns through an outsourcing company
- Recommend improvements to procedures / policies related to payroll administration
- Responsible for administration of the auto enrolment process and liaising with the with the Company’s pension advisor and pension scheme administrators at all stages (including ongoing statutory compliance)
- Responsible for all aspects of pension administration and payments to relevant parties
- Preparation and posting of all accounting journals relating to pension administration
- Reconciliation and review of annual scheme changes
- Prepare and submit P11d returns to HMRC deadlines.
- Prepare all relevant payroll returns and analyse company car costs (including preparation of non-recoverable VAT journals)
