At the University Hospital North Midlands we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and engaging Head of Resilience and EPRR who has a passion for ensuring safe, timely and high quality care for our patients, staff and wider system partners as part of our commitment to delivering the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Recovery standards across our Trust. The role is currently being banded and we are looking for an 8C or developmental 8B to join our leadership team.

The Head of Resilience and EPRR is the managerial focal point for all resilience and EPRR related aspects across the Trust and will plan, co-ordinate, manage and develop all aspects of EPRR for the Trust in accordance with local and national directives. This will include working closely and supporting responsible Care Group Teams in the delivery of the resilience agenda.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer the post holder will be responsible for the safe and cost effective provision of the Trust Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Recovery (EPRR) function for the Trust ensuring delivery of performance outcomes. Senior Managerial responsibility for providing a strategic direction and for the development of EPRR services within the Trust ensuring the Trust has an EPRR strategy and policy. This role is responsible for advising the Trust to ensure compliance with the EPRR National Standards

As a member of the corporate operations senior management team, the post holder is responsible for the operational day to day running of the EPRR services and through this, the development of high quality, clinically effective patient centred services, ensuring these are delivered in the most cost efficient manner, through the effective leadership, management and deployment of resources.

Ensure the Trust meets its statutory obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act (2004) and complies with all relevant EPRR guidance for the NHS, including non-statutory guidance that accompanies the Civil Contingencies Act including business continuity and resilience preparedness.

Responsible for interpreting, risk assessing, planning and leading the development and implementation of all arrangements relating to University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) preparedness, resilience ability to respond to incidents and emergencies as defined in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. Ensuring national and local standards are met including Care Quality Commission (CQC) Standards and NHS EPRR national contract standards across all sites.
