We are looking for an innovative and creative individual to support the Youth Justice Service on a 12 month fixed term contract as our Business Support and Performance Officer. You will be responsible for regular reporting and monitoring of the Youth Justice Service’s performance and providing efficient, flexible and proactive business and financial support to the team.
About the role
- To lead on the regular reporting and monitoring of the Youth Justice Service’s performance, including statutory data submissions, ensuring that all partners have access to up to date, good quality performance information.
- To work with the team, partners and governance to understand the Youth Justice Service’s business, and to support the performance measures, risks and other activity that will contribute to the successful delivery of our priorities.
- To work with the team, partners and governance to understand the Youth Justice Service’s business, to diagnose service performance, and to identify and support the implementation of solutions and actions to improve performance.
- Support with general administrative duties that can include accurate and efficient minuting taking, room booking and panel organising, processing invoices on the financial system, and processing paperwork and incoming referrals on to the information system.
About you
To meet the requirements of this position, we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual that is:
- Educated to degree standard
- Knowledgeable and experienced of collating and interpreting data, and presenting this information to senior management and governance teams.
- Experience in diary management, forward planning of meetings, the management of all associated administration, and implementation of efficient processes and procedures to ensure we continue to provide a high-quality service.
- Substantial knowledge and experience of sourcing and interpreting data, which can then to be used to develop and create high quality presentations and reports.
- Good written and verbal presentation skills.
- Business Support experience, including regular use of ICT systems and office routines such as mail, filing, photocopying, telephone communication and message taking.
- Experience of supporting meetings which could include arranging dates, room bookings and preparation of agendas, minute taking and any other related tasks.
