**Salary**:£26,000 per annum

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Payroll Executive to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the monthly employee payroll, ensuring statutory reporting requirements are met
- Completing payroll processes including tax, NI and statutory elements using the HR System /Accord Payroll system
- Ensure payroll end to end and statutory processes, including SMP, SPP, SSP, RTI, FPS, EPS, Pension auto-enrolment, P11ds, PSAs & apprenticeship levy are completed and complied with
- Administer employee benefit deductions within the statutory parameters
- Processing a high volume of payments and deductions onto the HR system for monthly paid employees
- Provide appropriate reports, liaise with external regulatory bodies such as The Pensions Regulator and HMRC as required
- Prepare and post payroll journals to Sage Accounts
- Complete payroll including preparation of BACS, distribution of payslips and submission of RTI file if required, in the Payroll Executive absence
- Assist the HR team to provide accurate HR administration from new starters through to managing leavers, updating records for pay changes & benefits, and ensuring leavers are processed appropriately
- Maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorisation
- Be the initial point of contact for Payroll & HR queries
- Assist with any new acquisitions and ensure they are brought onto T&Cs and the payroll system correctly
**Essential Skills**
- Working knowledge of key payroll calculations and processes for tax, NI and statutory elements
- Experience in payroll end to end statutory processes, including RTI, FPS, EPS, Pension auto-enrolment, apprenticeship levy
- Experience with reconciliation of reports, liaison with external regulatory bodies such as The Pensions Regulator and HMRC
- Experience of working with employees who are based across multiple sites throughout the UK.
- Experience of administering employee benefit deductions within statutory parameters
- Strong organisational skills and be a logical thinker
- Intermediate experience of using Excel and Word Microsoft packages
- People driven with a sense of fairness and desire to do the right thing

- Strong initiative, creative and solutions driven
- Self-motivated and resourceful
**Desired Skills**
- Good generalist HR administration experience
- CIPHR HR and Accord payroll experience
