Job description
Head of Events (Special & Bespoke), joining a prestigious youth focused International Charitable Foundation, based in central London. Requires some International travel.
- 2 days a week office based for the first 6 months. Then open to flexible working.
- Salary: c.£50K - £55K per annum + benefits.
You will join a well-known and prestigious International Charitable Foundation who are focused on developing programs to encourage young people to pursue their passions and their potential.
A fantastic Heads of Events role, requiring creative flair, leading on a diverse portfolio of high-profile events, including fundraising, stewardship, corporate, and donor recruitment events, international forums, and related Royal visits. These events are integral to enhancing stakeholder participation and engagement, as well supporting the Foundations sustainability and growth.
As the Head of Events, you will be the key conduit between the events team and the other departments within the Foundation, particularly with the Development Team and Director of Philanthropy, Global Operating Partners, Foundation Supporters, and the Royal Office. Responsible for:
- Leading and taking accountability for the overall implementation of the events portfolio, including large scale budget management, ensuring they feed into the organisation’s overall strategy.
- Developing creative and innovative event ideas that will maximise indirect and/or direct income to the charity at a mínimal cost.
- Be the key conduit between the Foundation and the Royal Office, ensuring an effective and efficient relationship.
- Be the key coordinator between the Royal Office and Operating Partners in the successful delivery of related international Royal visits.
- Leading on cross departmental collaboration ensuring all key information is clearly communicated, and actions are carried out in a timely manner.
- Monitoring and optimising stakeholder engagement and experience, actioning any improvements for future events.
- Identification, selection, negotiation and engagement of venues and suppliers for all events, providing approved lists of appropriate suppliers.
- Overall management of the Events team, managing an Events Manager and Events Officer.
This is a great role offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Events Specialist, with solid experience of delivering high-quality, engaging, and bespoke events, who is eager to be more creative and wants to work on international events.
- You will have extensive high-quality events and project management experience, creating and executing a wide event portfolio for different audiences. Experience of working on events outside of the UK, and within the charity/non-for-profit sector, would be advantageous, though not essential.

- net-worth individuals, VIPs, and other important stakeholders or have previous experience working with members of the royal families, dignitaries, and government officials.
- Must be willing and able to travel overseas on behalf of the Foundation, often with overnight stays.
