Job description:
The Pre-Sales Technical Consultant is responsible for providing pre-sales support for Server, Storage and Networking products and services by working with Account Executives, Business Development Managers and Support functions to architect, design, propose,demonstrate and close both existing and new opportunities.
Exertis operates a hybrid working environment and this role is customer focused so could require travel for up to 30% of the time. A monthly car allowance will be provided in order to support this.
**Your Day-to-Day as a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant**
- Providing presales lead for Enterprise opportunities across from qualification to concept to close
- ’Hands on’ capabilities to lead POC’s and product demonstrations
- Ability to understand the client’s business objectives and translate into technical needs.
- Providing advice regarding architectural questions, product prerequisites, product features, etc.
- Present technical white board demonstrations to clients.
- Attending key partner events, customer meetings and vendor training sessions.
- Gain and maintain the required vendor accreditations.
- Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct.
**Role Requirements**
- Experience in a consultative process regarding the design, delivery, implementation of complex enterprise solutions
- Ability to understand and explain many different technologies and to communicate technical concepts in non-technical terms.
- Knowledge of key technologies including Server, Storage, Virtualisation, Converged and Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Networking and key related software.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team sales effort, and to successfully operate in a flexible, virtual operating environment
- Industry Certification preferred (e.g., Dell Technologies or HP Presales).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with enterprise technologies in a systems administration or presales capacity
- IT Channel (manufacturer, distribution or partner) OR systems administration experience preferred
