**About the role**

Ruth Miskin Training is a leading education and training company based in London. We are looking for a personable and proactive person to organise and manage all events held in our head office. You will oversee health and safety processes, facilities management and assist with day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth and effective operation of our offices and training areas.

**Employment type**: part-time, 12-month fixed term with possibility of becoming permanent

**Location**:Ruth Miskin Training, Head Office, Liverpool Street, London

**Main responsibilities**

**Building management**:

- Responsible for ordering supplies for the office and other departments where required, overseeing stock control and deliveries
- Responsible for opening and closing, following the opening up and closing down procedures
- Administering the office petty cash system
- Management of cleaners - arranging cleaning, waste management and washroom services schedule
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and materials are stored safely and securely as per health and safety policies and procedures
- Support and advise on all Health and Safety Aspects
- Maintain safe working practices at all times, carrying out dynamic risk assessments on a continual basis
- Carry out general administrative tasks to support team members across the organisation

**Events**:

- Ensure events are prepared for and run smoothly
- Responsible for all facility hire enquiries, bookings and payments where necessary
- Act as front of house, welcoming delegates and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Responsible for the administration of catering for all training and meetings
- Prepare meeting rooms in advance of bookings: ensure all equipment is in good working order, check meeting room facilities are fully stocked

**Essential**:

- Minimum GCSE English and Maths, Grade A-C
- Excellent level of attention to detail
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Experience of working in a team
- High standards of customer care
- The skills to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form along with a strong telephone manner
- Flexibility, initiative and the ability to work independently
- Ability to anticipate problems, identify and implement solutions

**Desirable**
- Qualified first aider
- Trained fire marshal
- Managing hall hire and booking systems
- Receptionist / administration experience
