Medical Patient Care Navigator

Job Title: Patient Care Navigator
Patient Care Navigators (Patient Care Advisers) answer the surgery telephones and receive the online requests from patients. They ask the caller a few questions and then follow the practice protocols to book the patient the correct type of appointment with the most appropriate clinician or service.
This is the modern version of a receptionist. If you believe that following training you would be great at asking questions and listening to the answers, then using this information to decide what appointment is needed, this role could be for you
The hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, 12.30-18.30. Additional hours may be available if desired.
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Empathetic and compassionate nature
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient in using computer systems
