Are you confidential, reliable with great timekeeping, self motivated and conscientious? Do you like helping and supporting members of the public? This is an admin role, in a GP surgery, with a variety of responsibilities. You will be a member of the admin team sharing the tasks and full training will be given.

The role includes:
1) Supporting the patients and clinicians by processing and tracking hospital referrals

2) Answering patient queries such as explaining and providing access to their medical records

4) Reading clinical discharge letters and coding the relevant information into the correct patient records

5) Processing prescription requests promptly and accurately

6) Answering the telephone and calling patents to resolve admin queries

8) Keeping calm in a busy department where your task list will vary daily

9) Supporting the GP's and other clinical staff so they can support their patients in a timely fashion

You will be taught how to access our clinical systems (emis and Docman). You will need to be confident using excel spreadsheets (basic level - sorting lists, adding columns etc) and have a methodical and common sense approach to tasks.
