**Principal Accountabilities**: To work as part of the Specialist Weight Management admin team, providing clerical and reception support to staff and patients of the Specialist Weight Management Service. Key responsibilities: To register all referrals to the Specialist Weight Management Service on the iPM (Patients Management System) and arrange appointments and complete reminder phone calls and letters as required To receive and register all patients attending the department. Prepare Specialist Weight Management clinics ensuring all records are available To arrange appointments for all patients, adhering to departmental procedures When required, to cancel clinics, clinic streams and re-appoint patients appropriately as directed by the admin lead and clinicians To adapt to any changes in patient administrative procedures. Deal politely and efficiently with telephone enquires Deal tactfully and sensitively with patients and relatives To arrange interpreters as required To liaise with and assist the admin lead to ensure the efficient running of the Specialist Weight Management clerical service General clerical duties including photocopying, scanning and minute taking as required To ensure effective internal and external 2 way communication of non clinical advice, information and guidance to other departments, patients, carers and all other Health and Social Care Professionals To work at any site or outreach clinic as directed by the Therapy / Office Manager 14.
