**Service Advisor**

Our client is an established and successful distributor who have been trading for over 100 years. With over 170 staff across multiple sites, they are looking for someone to work from their Castleford depot.

**You'll be working;**
- Full time and permanent Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
- Hours rotate with colleagues between 7.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday
- Saturdays are required on a rota basis 8am to 12pm

**Salary Guide**: Up to £28k DOE

**Key Tasks / Responsibilities**:

- Working in a professional manner to meet customers needs and expectations in facilitating service enquiries and bookings.
- Request and take customer guarantees of payment, gain authorisation and initiate order numbers.
- Upload and manage all customers’ details and vehicle details on our DMS.
- Manage a vehicle maintenance planner, book MOT’s, and third party contractors.
- Manage vehicle downtime effectively by effective liaison with other departments.
- Take responsibility for workshop scheduling by checking the resources and capacity with the workshop controllers in order to raise detailed job cards.
- Check for any manufacturer safety recalls and provide information with a job card to the workshop controllers.
- Manage and process Mobile24 vehicle breakdowns.
- Liaise with workshop controllers, parts advisors, service and warranty administrators as and when required.
- Provide customers with regular updates on vehicle progress, including re
- bookings and completions.
- Manage, scan, upload and file all service related documents.
- Manage a small fleet of courtesy vehicles.
- Keep yourself up to date with vehicle and parts information including any factory recalls and other relevant information.
- Assists with any other necessary admin duties in working with your team.

**Skills Required - Essential**:

- Previous experience in the motor trade
- A knowledge of transport legislation
- Technical knowledge of vehicle parts
- The ability to work on your own initiative and or as part of a team.
- The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and specifications etc.
- Great customer service skills and professionalism.
- The ability to work to deadlines and time manage efficiently.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, management, and outside agencies including the communication of complex information.
- Self-disciplined with the ability to control your own workload.
- Microsoft Office skills including Excel.
- Level C or equivalent in Math and English.
