Senior Project Support Officer, Band 4

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Senior Project Support Officer to join the Capital Development Team, responsible for the installation of the small scale refurbishments up to large scale refurbishment/new builds and large engineering contracts, to support the Capital Backlog maintenance programme and corporate developments programmes of work.

You will use own initiative, discretion and judgment in delivering a variety of customer delegated tasks.

We are looking for a skilled, motivated and highly organized individual for this role. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality is required at all times.

Being able to prioritise, maintain own workload, be proactive and have the ability to work unsupervised.

Knowledge of Capital Investment Manual and Project Support within an NHS is essential; knowledge of the NEC and JCT contracts is an advantage although not essential.

The post will be supported by, and be an integral part of, our Capital Development Team.

This post will span across both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital on a flexible schedule.

This role is intended for those who wish to be a part of a very busy and dynamic office environment and further training and opportunities to succeed within the Trust directorate will always be considered.

No two days will be the same and as such your administrative and support skill range needs to cover this.

The post will support, facilitate and aid the progress of projects within Estates Facilities and Development directorate, concentrating predominantly on providing project, operational, technical and administrative support to the Project Office to ensure successful delivery of projects to the timescales identified within the project plans.

In addition to providing administrative support to the wider Capital Department, including PFI, Sustainability, Property, Accommodation Services.

Develops, maintains and files project documentation in accordance to the department’s standards. Maintains a professional working relationship with system suppliers, project and implementation team members and end users. Is the first point of contact for project enquiries from end users and project key stakeholders. Providing training to key project team members required to ensure effective management of Project plans, project documentation and reports and risk and issue logs.

**HUTH has two main sites**: Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital with an annual budget of approximately £800 million. The Trust employs around 11,000 staff and serves an extended population of 1.25 million, delivering a number of outpatient services from locations across the area.

The Trust’s secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services. These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.

HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
