The Project Officer (North East) will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and implementation woodland creation projects throughout the North East.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- To build and foster relationships with Community Forest Teams and landowners.
- To coordinate woodland creation projects ensuring all project milestones, deliverables and financials are met.
- Act as the central point of coordination on projects between nursery staff and the Green Task Force team who will deliver the project.
- Work closely with colleagues, veteran organisations and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for volunteering and community engagement in projects.
- Maintain accurate records of each project for internal audit purposes and project reporting.
- Lead on the production of project reports to funders and land owners.
- Ensure all activities are compliant with relevant health, safety, and safeguarding policies.
- Develop partnerships with other organisations to enhance reach of PATT Foundation and to maintain a pipeline of projects.
- Stay informed about the latest research and developments in woodland creation.

- The successful engagement of stakeholders in the support and promotion of woodland creation projects.
- Ensuring the effective delivery of projects through key milestones, project and financial deliverables.
- Adherence to all legal, ethical, and safety guidelines in planning and coordinating projects.
- Documentation and reporting on the progress and outcomes of each project.

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Demonstratable experience in project management.
- Experience in strategic planning and program development.
- Proven experience facilitating partnerships.
- A professional qualification with an environmental focus, or willingness to be trained in relevant qualifications.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
- An understanding of safeguarding principles and health and safety in an outdoor context.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Pay: £18,379.90-£34,601.07 per year
