**HOSPICE HERO FUNDRAISER**

**Salary Scale**:Overgate Grade 5: £23,000 - £24,000 Pro rata

- Overgate Hospice is an independent charity with a mission to ensure that patients and those close to them live with the best possible quality of life. This is enabled by provision of the highest standard of compassionate and evidence-based specialist palliative and end of life care for adults in Calderdale who have active, progressive life limiting illness._

**JOB SUMMARY**

As the Hospice Hero Fundraiser, you will play a key role in the Income Generation Team, acquiring and retaining supporters. You will be passionate about the provision of high
- quality care and committed to the Hospice values with an ability to inspire, motivate and empower those around you.

Reporting to the Senior Fundraiser you will have specific responsibility for establishing strong relationships with supporters taking on an activity or challenge to raise money for the Hospice.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing supporter care plans to ensure all third-party fundraisers are well supported throughout their fundraising journey. You will also be responsible for the planning and promotion of Sky Dive challenges and the care of supporters taking on any externally organised running challenges for the Hospice (such as the London Marathon).

You will work closely with the wider Fundraising team, utilising each other’s skills to ensure the very best supporter care and that all opportunities for income generation are maximised.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

At least 1 years’ experience in a customer-focussed role.

Must be educated to A-Level or equivalent experience.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST**

Responsibility for supporting all third-party fundraisers (Hospice Heroes), establishing strong relationships, and supporting them to raise as much money as possible.

Responsibility for arranging suitable publicity and promotion to support Hospice Heroes’ fundraising activities, utilising social media, press releases and internal newsletters.

Organising for an Overgate Community Ambassador to attend third party fundraising events, or where necessary, attend yourself.

Creation of marketing campaigns to actively recruit Hospice Heroes, supported by the Communications and Marketing Team.

Organising a programme of Sky Dive events, liaising with the external provider to book dates in for the year.

Responsibility for promotion of Sky Dives, including the creation of marketing materials and a marketing plan with the support of the Communications and Marketing Team.

Responsibility for purchasing places in selected external running challenges and recruiting runners to take these places.

Responsibility for supporting all runners who are taking on a running challenge for the Hospice (Hospice Hares), encouraging and supporting them to raise as much money as possible.

Responsibility for ensuring all third-party supporters are thanked in a timely and appropriate manner, developing new and innovative ways to show our gratitude for their support.

Responsibility for the Third-Party Fundraising, Hospice Hares and Sky Dives income streams and financial targets.

Ensure you keep up to date of Charity Law and fundraising developments across the sector by networking with other organisations, undertaking training, and abiding by the Charities Act and Fundraising Regulator codes of conduct.

Actively support and encourage other members of the Fundraising Team, sharing skills and knowledge to enhance all income generation activities.

Attend selected large-scale Hospice fundraising events, working as an active member of the team to deliver an exceptional experience for supporters.

Maintain our database to record accurate donor contact and preference information, and donations received.

Manage all data relating to third party fundraising, and work with colleagues to ensure that all data is correctly recorded and complies with GDPR regulations.

Plan and manage time and costs effectively whilst producing and maintaining records of income and expenditure for fundraising activities.

Be responsible for managing relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders and volunteer led fundraising committees to secure expertise and support in delivering and driving forward community fundraising.

Work with all Hospice teams to raise awareness of Overgate Hospice and ensure all communications are on brand and represent our key messages.
