Clerical Officer with Reception Duties Band 2

**MPA Recruitment Armagh are working with the Southern Health and social trust to hire two band 2 clerical officers with reception duties in the Craigavon area hospital.**
This role involves clerical work including reception duties, preparation of records for review clinics, telephone duties, appointment systems, typing. Input and extract information from computer based records system.
Behave consistently with the values of Southern Health and Social Care Trust and promote these on a daily basis.
**KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. General reception duties, including greeting patients, relatives and members of hospital staff, the public and clergy.
2. Keep up-to-date records of patient location within Emergency Department and Minor Injuries Unit.
3. Register patients who arrive to the Emergency Department on the eEMS database. Maintaining Dashboard.
4. Ensure the smooth running of review clinics.
5. Answer the telephone, record all calls, take and forward messages.
6. Contact appropriate medical staff in regional specialities and in Daisy Hill Hospital for A & E Medical staff to arrange transfer or referrals.
7. Request ambulances if required
8. Arrange appointments for review clinics. Ensuring clinic attendances recorded accordingly.
9. Process disposals on eEMs and ensure follow ups on all referrals forwarded to appropriate service.
10. Open and distribute mail.
**Qualifications / Experience Required (**_**as per Personnel Specification**_**)**
1. 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent / higher qualification
**OR**
1 years’ experience in a clerical / administrative role
2. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel or equivalent
**Hours of Work**
37.5 hours
**Monday - Sunday 8am - 10pm**
**Salary**: £10.42-£19.07 per hour
