**Overview**

This individual will be responsible for the design, plan recommendations and administration of a global benefits program for our operations in 19 countries including the United States, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Norway, Spain, Netherlands, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, India, Malaysia and others.

This exciting stand-alone role gives the opportunity to take ownership of an emerging global benefits program.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the design and plan recommendations for global benefits programs.
- Ensure sound administration and maintenance of employee benefits and savings programs such as group insurance, pension plans, disability and wellness including vendor management and relationships globally.
- Provide first line excellent service to respond to inquiries from employees regarding pension and benefits.
- Identify required changes, propose improvements to our programs and processes to provide a better employee experience and increase the efficiency of administrative processes.
- Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, enrollment and renewals.
- Support, advise and collaborate with the HR Business Partners and Regional Leaders on pension and benefit matters.
- Collaborate with HR Operations team to ensure effective delivery of administration of benefit plans.
- Serve as the go-to person for employees and vendors regarding pension plans and group insurance matters as well as for other local benefits programs.
- Provide information and education to employees about the value of their benefits programs as one important aspect of the total compensation package.
- Coordinate the renewal process for group insurance programs and the deployment of other local programs such as pay equity.
- Lead the distribution of pension information and annual pension statements to employees.
- Coordinate transfer of data to benefit providers from payroll/HRIS when available.
- Document procedures and routines of pension and benefits processes for each country.
- Maintain and updates manuals on benefit plans, coordinate distribution to employees.
- Process pension benefits in accordance with the terms of plan and other applicable legislation.
- Ensure and process benefits and pensions compliance and audit requirements are met.
- And other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field with 5 years of related experience OR a Post-Secondary Diploma with 7-10 years of related experience.
- 5 + years’ experience in pension and benefits administration, with expertise in the United States and Canada and at least 3+ countries outside of North America.
- Previous experience in pensions and benefits in multiple countries around the world is preferred.
- 5 + years’ experience with an integrated HR/Payroll information system.
- Experience in implementation, and administration of employee global benefits programs
- Knowledge of national and state/provincial statutes concerning pension and benefits administration.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills when providing input into process and procedural improvements.
- Demonstrated skill in completing projects under strict deadlines and adhering to auditing principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in and outside of the organization.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, maintaining effectiveness in varying circumstances.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, with an international reporting line
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, listening and multitasking skills.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Flexibility, dependability, tact, and diplomacy are required.
