Would you like to join our friendly and busy team as Patient Services Administrator?

We are currently seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic and positive individual to join our happy and supportive Patient Services Admin team, working across our two very busy sites, the main Practice is located in the heart of Cambridge City and the Branch surgery located in the newly developed area of Trumpington.

The job is on week days for 37 hours per week, split between 4 full days (8:00am-6:15pm) or with 1 day off during the week; or we can discuss part time, or 5 days a week

Immediate start available and a pension scheme where the employer contributes14.4% of your salary is available.

Job description/summary:

- Opening and locking up Practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice Protocols;
- Assistance in the day to day operation of the Front Desk;
- Manage and ensure all incoming calls are handled to the correct standard;
- Undertake a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Practice, including the provision of admin support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice Team;
- Project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors either in person or via telephone;
- Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way;
- Facilitate communication between patients, members of the Primary Health Care Team, Secondary Care and other associated healthcare agencies.
- Filing and retrieving paperwork;
- Computer data entry, allocation and collation;
The work is varied and interesting, you never know what you will be faced with so you need to be adaptable and good at multi-tasking.

Reception/admin experience would be advantageous as would previous use of SystmOne although in-house full training for all the areas will be offered, as required.

This demanding role offers the opportunity to develop a range of administrative and communication skills and requires attention to detail and a positive, patient-centred, flexible approach.
