Patient Services Administrator's Required

We are a friendly, supportive, busy Cambridge surgery serving a patient population of approximately 7,700 patients.

We are looking for a Patient Services Administrator to join our brilliant, friendly administration team working Monday to Friday between 8am-6.30pm

Vacancy Hours

Monday 08:00 - 17:00

Tuesday 08:00 - 13:00

Wednesday 08:00 - 13:00

Thursday 08:00 - 13:00

Friday 08:00 - 17:00

The Patient Services Administrator role is diverse, and two days are never the same

Day to Day duties include:

- Greeting Patients and visitors
- Answering incoming telephone calls
- Booking, amend and cancelling appointments
- Processing Patient referrals
- Processing repeat prescriptions
- Registering patients
- document management
- coding records,
- liaising with external services
- booking interpreters
- dealing with test results.
- General administration
- In addition, responding to tasks from clinical and non-clinical staff
- liaising with external community services and emergency services
- Reception / admin experience would be advantageous as would previous use of SystmOne although full training will be given.

Previous NHS receptionist or clerical experience would be advantageous but full training will be given to the right person with scope for career development.
