We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Coordinator to work on a transformation programme involving the most significant houses and collections in the National Trusts’ care.
The National Trust looks after places that contain the work of some of the world’s most recognised and celebrated artists, architects, designers and master craftsmen and were homes to some of the most revered individuals in British history such as Winston Churchill, Bess of Hardwick, and Beatrix Potter.
Working as a key member of the programme team, you will support the Senior Programme Manager and Programme Board to ensure the smooth-running of the programme, its support systems and processes.
This is a two-year fixed term contract or internal secondment, and we will consider flexible working patterns.
What it's like to work here:The National Trust is bigger than you think, we're more complicated than we appear and we're larger scale than you'd imagine. We've got passionate people in all our teams, and we've got so much more we want to achieve. Our houses and collections are much loved by our existing visitors. We wish to build on this success by both improving our offer for those that already visit and by making our places relevant and accessible for all.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office and properties to meet with stakeholders and carry out work.

You’ll be organising and administering the Programme Board and wider team meetings and minutes, coordinating the monthly news bulletin, updating intranet pages and developing case studies.
You’ll manage knowledge and information for the programme, supporting the collation of reports for the programme board and helping to ensure that project teams are adhering to project management best practice.
Who we're looking forYou can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role.

- Stakeholder management - providing a consistent point of contact for the programme, internally and externally.
- Communications - supporting the delivery of the communications plan
- Information management - ensuring that all files and folders up to date
- Project support and administration - providing full administrative support for projects within the programme
The packageThe National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
