The Council manages a large number of facilities including allotment site, sports fields, sports courts, open spaces and play parks, woodland, in and around the parish as well as buildings that serve these facilities.
Church Crookham Parish Council, in Northeast Hampshire represents approx. 4,200 households at the most local level of government. The Council carefully manages a £245k precept as well as other income streams and a separate S106 budget for Crookham Park facilities. We are a forward-thinking council run by 10 Councillors from 3 wards within Church Crookham. The office team is small but effective and we are looking for someone to join the team and continue to ensure that our facilities are well-run and looked after to the highest standards.
**Role & Responsibilities**
As the Council’s Facilities Administration Officer, you will coordinate the day-to-day management of the Council’s appointed grounds maintenance contractors ensuring that all sites and facilities are kept clean, safe and ready for use. This will include monitoring performance of the contract and prioritising activities.
You will be managing the booking system and billing customers for use of the football, tennis and allotments including managing the allotment waiting list. Health & Safety checks will also need to be undertaken and monthly reporting as well as actioning urgent repairs will be key aspects of your role.
Whilst the role is office based there is a requirement to visit sites on a regular basis and access to your own transport is essential.
You will have proven organisational, administrative, managerial, communication and IT skills, together with experience in health & safety matters including water safety, ROSPA safety checks at play parks and budget control. You will need a community focus, and the drive to move the Council’s services forward in challenging times. You will be required to work successfully with our ten Councillors, diverse local groups, residents, customers, other local councils, principle authority departments, contractors and others as required.
A can-do attitude to resolving problems is a desirable quality and timely reporting to support the other office roles within a small team will be key attributes.
You will be ably supported by the Clerk to the Parish Council.

You will work from the Church Crookham Parish Council Office based within Church Crookham Community Centre, Boyce Road, Church Crookham, GU52 8AQ but you will also be required to regularly visit all sites in and around the parish. Free parking is available.
