We are the largest coach operator in Leicestershire, and we have spent our last 28 years of business building an unrivaled experience and a friendly and trustworthy reputation. We have an extensive fleet of executive vehicles which helps us to service our programme of over 400 coach holidays across the UK and Europe and operate a wide range of private hire jobs for a variety of occasions. and deliver school transport to thousands of pupils.

Having recently invested in several new vehicles, including a zero-emissions coach, we are at an exciting point of growth, and it is a great moment to join a forward-thinking company

We’re looking to hire an experienced Sales Team Leader for our private hire sales team who are responsible for the hire of our extensive fleet of vehicles to a range of clients including some of the region’s best-known sports teams, schools and universities, and corporate companies.

We’re based in Hugglescote, Coalville (Northwest Leicestershire) which is situated in close proximity to junction 22 of the M1 motorway.

**Key areas of the role**:

- Gather relevant information from customers to include date, and time of travel, number of passengers, destination, special requests and budget considerations
- Provide accurate and details information about coach hire options, including vehicle types, on board facilities, pricing and terms of service
- Collaborate with internal departments such as operations and finance to ensure a seamless experience for our customers
- Prepare and send quotations to customers based on their specific requirements, ensuring clarity and transparency in pricing and services offered
- Follow up with customers to confirm bookings, address any concerns or questions, and provide additional assistance as needed
- Tap into our network of tour operators to generate sales of UK and European private hire tours, ensuring we capitalise on the demand opportunity within the touring season
- Demonstrate good commercial knowledge by developing a thorough understanding of the pricing structure, our competitors, and the opportunistic times within the hire schedule
- Find and generate new business by contacting lapsed and prospective customers that are located within our target geographical areas
- Develop a thorough understanding of the fleet, operational schedule and specific legislation that is applicable to coach travel

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- 2 years sales experience, preferably within the transportation industry (but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a strong ability to articulate information clearly and concisely
- Proven ability to build rapport with customers to establish trust and reliability
- Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and bookings simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
- A customer focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service with each and every Roberts travel Group customer
- Flexibility to work Saturday mornings on a periodic basis
