About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Team Leader to join our team at Barratt Developments. As a Sales Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving a strong sales performance through effective management of the Sales Adviser team on their developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a Strong Sales Performance: Manage and motivate your team to achieve their full potential, driving sales performance and exceeding targets.
  • Recruit and Develop Talent: Involvement in recruiting new Sales Advisors and ongoing training and development of your team.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Prepare staffing rotas for your developments, ensuring all holidays, sickness, and other absences are suitably covered.
  • Compliance and Performance: Ensure your team complies with key sales processes, tools, and approaches, and manage non-compliance and underperformance in accordance with standard Group processes.
  • Cost Management: Manage Scheme costs appropriately, promoting best practice and high-quality standards.
  • IT Systems: Ensure divisional IT systems are fully utilized, and advisers update the group internal IT system.
  • CRM and Marketing: Manage the database of CRM activity with your designated team, ensuring continuous improvement as measured by KPI performance. Oversee the implementation and launch of new sites, coordinating Marketing input as appropriate.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Provide input to marketing campaigns for current and future developments, facilitating marketing material and ensuring compliance with Group Standards and legislative requirements.
  • Customer Focus: Focus yourself and your team on driving the right result for the customer and the Division, as measured by KPIs (including NHBC and cost management targets).
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with colleagues in the divisions to ensure smooth delivery of the customer journey for your developments, and be the point of contact for customer care issues.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis, and assist in research on potential and existing developments as required by the Sales Director.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Appropriate reporting to the Sales Director on all aspects of Sales/legal completions, and manage the delivery and ongoing presentation of show homes and sales offices for your developments.
  • Company Values and Policies: Promote and act in accordance with all Company values, systems, policies, and procedures, including processing of credit and debit card transactions in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management: A motivational team-leader focused on managing, coaching, and developing your team to achieve their full potential.
  • Sales Experience: Experience of sales delivery in a service environment, either in a similar role or as a high-performing Sales Adviser.
  • Cost Control and Planning: Experience of cost control and planning, prioritizing and organizing work to meet targets.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: A lateral and innovative thinker, an original problem-solver.
  • Sales and Marketing Techniques: Specialist knowledge of Sales/Marketing techniques, research, and analysis.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Self-Discipline and Flexibility: Self-disciplined individual, with excellent time management skills, and flexible to achieve results.
  • IT and Communication Skills: IT skills, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working Pattern and Mobility: Flexibility with working pattern and mobility across the Division, with the ability to work weekends and bank holidays.
