**Project Support Officer - (**Inside IR35)**

**Contract Term: 18 Months**

**Contracting Authority: UKRI**

**Location: Hybrid - occasional visits to either the Swindon or London offices / Remote Working**

**As a Project Support Officer**your main responsibilities will be**
- Day-to-day project support of a project or multiple projects throughout the full lifecycle from inception through to close; potentially working within a wider programme of work, its team, the assigned Programme Manager and wider Portfolio Management Office (PMO) function.
- Support the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints
- Support and deputise for more senior members of the delivery, such as the Programme Manager and or SRO.
- Coordinate development of the Business Case.
- Management of stakeholders to define scope and objectives, addressing issues with senior stakeholders ensuring they are fully engaged and able to support delivery
- Coordinate multi-disciplined teams, both internal and third party, to achieve the project deliverables to schedule, to budget and to the required quality.
- Stakeholder identification and management, including regular, appropriate and timely communications throughout the project.
- Ensuring project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, and highlight reports are maintained
- Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.
- Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making.
- Support or set appropriate project assurance.
- Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
- Support project budgets; gaining sign off from stakeholders including Finance and Project/Programme Boards as required; track delivery within budget.
- Schedule / manage resources to deliver the project. May work independently or with a small team.
- Generation of accurate, relevant and timely reporting to enable progress to be tracked centrally
- Embed monitoring, evaluation and benefits realisation within the project, and importantly
- Extensive administration support

**Essential Skills**
- Experienced in the support of a portfolio of projects and working with senior managers
- Extensive stakeholder engagement with a focus on Internal teams
- Ability to challenge stakeholders to gather relevant project Information as required
- Strong self starter
- Microsoft office suite
- Communication skills
- Public/ private sector background

**Desirable Skills**
- Project management qualifications - Prince2, MSP
