**Job summary**:
Are you a highly motivated and organised individual who is passionate about making a difference? Then this could be the opportunity for you to support project delivery at the Defence Academy (DefAc) as it embarks on an ambitious programme of Estates, Digital and Business Change.
The Portfolio Office requires a Project Support Officer to support the Portfolio Management Office. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the Management, Assurance and Administration required to successfully deliver the projects and business benefits. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders from across the organisation and be at the heart of delivering change.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
**Job description**:
The purpose of this role is to support the assurance, governance, and delivery of the DefAc Portfolio of projects. The projects are a mix of digital, estates and business change and all contribute to the Academy meeting its strategic objectives and the future change agenda.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Supporting the review, maintenance and production of Portfolio controls and registers e.g., plans, risk registers, resource management, performance, and other management information.
- Managing provision, presentation, continuous improvement, and configuration control of the suite of DefAc Project Management policies, guidance, and best practice templates.
- Supporting and coordinating the series of project progress reviews ensuring project data is accurate and acquired in a timely manner.
- Support the System Administration of Active Risk Manager to include maintenance of User registers, training, and risk reporting.
- On a prioritised basis, provide direct support to projects within the Portfolio to enable successful delivery e.g., drafting of artefacts, supporting/facilitating workshops.
- Act as Secretary to the Portfolio Review Board; supporting the accurate production of packs, provision of supporting data and recording and updating actions.
- Other tasks as directed by Line Management e.g., supporting the development of learning from experience, proof reading and quality review.
