We are now looking for a Project Officer to join our friendly and busy team, with a focus on providing Project and Programme risk-assurance support.
The National Trust’s Data Protection Office (DPO) is dedicated to the assurance and protection of personal data across all our functions and activities.
By putting individuals at the heart of what we do, the DPO help National Trust to meet our strategic compliance obligations in accordance with current legislation (UK General Data Protection Regulation / Data Protection Act 2018) and the guidance of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Your contractual location will be our central office Heelis in Swindon where we meet on a regular basis as a team, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.

- has a good understanding of UK Data Protection principles and the risks of regulatory non-compliance
- is self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- has strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- has good communication skills with the ability to liaise with key partners at all levels
- has experience, or demonstrates the ability to learn and explore, new technology and systems as required for example JIRA and OneTrust.
- has knowledge of building and maintaining forms and trackers / record repositories to help streamline our processes across our suite of Microsoft systems
