The Heidelberg Materials International Business Service Centre provides administrative and transactional services to in-scope Heidelberg Materials Companies and Business Lines. The International Business Centre incorporates departments which provides **Accounts Payable,** **Central Purchasing**, and **Master Data** services to other group countries. The Facilities team provide a range of support to teams on site, including management of reception, greeting and supporting visitors to site, setting up meeting and conferencing facilities when required, and ensuring that all employees on site have the equipment and welfare facilities that they need. The Heidelberg Cement International Business Service Centre (BSC) provides administrative and transactional services to in-scope HC companies.
**Description of Team / Department**
The Facilities team provide a range of support to teams on site, including management of reception, greeting and supporting visitors to site, setting up meeting and conferencing facilities when required, and ensuring that all employees on site have the equipment and welfare facilities that they need. The Heidelberg Cement International Business Service Centre (BSC) provides administrative and transactional services to in-scope HC companies.
**Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role**
- Ensuring that day to day facilities tasks are completed to a high standard
- Ensuring meeting rooms and office facilities are well maintained. Where issues are identified, resolving them where possible, or reporting to the relevant people
- Performing workstation assessments and proposing necessary changes
- Monitoring, ordering and distributing consumable stock and equipment
- Supporting in purchase order reconciliations and budget tracking
- Supporting in purchase order reconciliations and budget tracking
- Proactive in identifying and mitigating site health and safety risks
- Reception cover when required
- Managing more complex, non-standard incidents, requiring good understanding of the end to end process.
- Accurately working with Service Levels Agreements (SLA's) on a ‘right first time” basis.
- Ensuring compliance with all appropriate processes and controls
- Routine query resolution and problem solving
- Provide guidance, training and support for other team members are required
- Ensuring personal targets are met on a continuous basis, and escalating any issues or hurdles immediately for support
- Working as part of a team to deliver overall targets, providing support to others where needed
- Providing excellent customer service where required (internally and externally), including interaction with international stakeholders
- Ensuring effective escalation for non-standard requests or issues.
- To work with high levels of integrity and confidentiality.
- Positively support a team and department in change and innovation.
- Any other task requested by your team lead or any BSC manager.
**Skills / Experience**
- Excellent interpersonal skills - with the drive and flexibility to support others.
- Basic Microsoft Office (excel).
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- English and Maths GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent)
The role holder is expected:

- to ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place
- to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation
- to update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
- to comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company
