Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Office Administrator to provide comprehensive office and administrative support to the Head of Testing Development within the Blood Supply Directorate.
This role involves undertaking administration and clerical duties in support of the Technical and Scientific Development Team, including providing direct office management and administrative support to the Manager, acting as a central source of communication between the Manager and Senior Managers in the Directorate, and taking responsibility for the Managers' diary, planning and organising all appointments to ensure the most efficient use of their time.
The successful candidate will have experience of handling conflicting deadlines and priorities, understanding of the need for confidentiality, and experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), or equivalent Systems.
They will also be committed to studying towards and completing the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme, and have Maths and English GCSE's or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct office management and administrative support to the Manager
- Act as a central source of communication between the Manager and Senior Managers in the Directorate
- Take responsibility for the Managers' diary, planning and organising all appointments to ensure the most efficient use of their time
- Set up, arrange and attend monthly meetings
- Document and formally minute meetings
- Liaise with external suppliers to provide training courses for senior staff, arranging venues and facilities and acting as a point of contact for trainers and trainees
