Allocations Officer

Our client is a social housing provider with a real focus on developing good quality affordable housing. Currently they are seeking a Housing & Allocations Officer for a Temporary role.
Duties will include:
- Effectively manage allocation and letting of our rented accommodation, including general needs social housing, market rent and other rented tenure products, in accordance with Policy
- To assess housing nominations to ensure they meet the Allocation Policy and proactively manage all aspects of our resident’s tenancy and lease agreements
- Undertake home visits and viewings of void properties with housing applicants
- Regularly maintain all records and logging of new resident information, ensuring all are balanced and accurate
- Monitor the return of shared ownership sales and stair casing to ensure sales are completed within target time scale and to appraisal budget
- Deal with all enquiries from solicitors and agents and complete sales documentation as required
- Take a proactive and positive role in managing our estates and communities, working closely with partner agencies to ensure they are safe and desirable places to live
- Proactively manage and resolve cases of nuisance and anti-social behaviour, in line with policies, procedures and best practice, making full use of prevention and enforcement tools available
- Attend court to present cases on behalf of the company and defend breaches of tenancy cases to achieve the best outcome
- Actively take part in 121’s, PDR’s and other performance management initiatives
- To create, maintain and provide evidence of performance as required across the spectrum of duties
- To carry out additional responsibilities reasonably associated with the post title and post holder’s capabilities, as and when required by the Association
The ideal applicant will have access to a car with business insurance and a recent basic DBS.

Contract length: 3 months
**Salary**: £20.00-£26.00 per hour
