**What’s the Job?**

The HR & Payroll Administrator reports to the Head of talent. This role has close working relationship with employees and provides wide ranging HR and payroll Administration support for Castore. This role will be the first point of contact for employee queries and will provide payroll support for the UK and EU operations.

**What will I do?**

HR Administration
- Assist with the management of the HR inbox, escalating queries as required
- Prioritising your workload to ensure all tasks are completed with the required deadlines
- Assist in the preparation of HR documents such as; offer letters, employment contracts, references, resignation letters, probation letters and absence review letters.
- To ensure all new starter paperwork is completed and relevant information provided for payroll
- Undertake all required pre-employment checks in a timely manner, updating and discussing with line managers accordingly
- Ensure the HR system is up to date and maintain accurate employee records
- Support the Head of Talent with issues and requests relating to ER matters such as disciplinary and grievance processes
- Management of probationary periods and return to work documents
- Support with general administration tasks and projects when required
- Assisting the Talent Acquisition advisor with administration tasks as required
- Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Payroll Administration
- Administrate the weekly and monthly processes to ensure the smooth running of company payroll
- Liaise with external accountants providing relevant monthly payroll information
- Prepare, process and manage the payroll processes from start to finish, ensuring appropriate review and approval
- Produce & save payroll reports, pay slips, PAYE remittances and P45s as required
- Generate and submit the weekly/monthly BACS payment for final transmission as required
- Process expenses authorisations via HR system
- Liaise closely with Finance on payroll and expenses

**What skills and qualities will I need?**

Key Skills
- Prior HR Admin and/or payroll exposure
- Exposure to HR systems such as Bamboo HR, Cascade etc
- Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent education
- Strong administrative and customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering advice guidance and handling challenging conversations
- An understanding of the HR employee lifecycle
- Experience of providing relevant advice on policy and process to line managers and employees
- Well organised, prioritising and working within key deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work thoroughly, methodically with an excellent attention to detail
