This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
The Support Assurance Team (SAT) are responsible for the provision of Support Assurance for all projects and programmes that are delivered by; Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), Defence Digital (DD), and the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA). Within this role they ensure coherence with Defence direction, the Support Solution Envelope 21 (SSE21) and wider government policy. The SAT consider compliance with Support Policy and report to management any risks to the delivery of Support. We have an exciting opportunity to join the SAT (Air) Team, thereby providing a challenging and exciting career, where you will help to shape the future development of innovative support solutions for some of the most complex, dynamic and cutting-edge capabilities used across Defence.

This is a challenging role in the rewarding field of ILS. All applicants that demonstrate the required attributes to join the team can be trained from a zero ILS knowledge basis to the ILS Practitioner level as part of on the job training.

This position is based at MOD Abbeywood and allows the opportunity to work remotely on a flexible/hybrid basis. Please note that some travel may be required.

**Person specification**:
Reporting to a C1 in the Air Team you will:

- Provide advice and guidance to DTs enabling them to conduct self-assurance against the Defence Support policies.
- Conduct assurance determining effectiveness, compliance & coherence in Support Solutions, providing assessments, identifying Defence issues and risks.
- Facilitate engagement between DTs and Policy SMEs during the equipment life cycle to encourage improvement and good practice.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for a range of Policy areas within SSE21, but most notably concerning Integrated Logistic Support organisation, planning and arrangements.
- Produce Support Solution Reports providing assurance of support solution effectiveness to inform 3* endorsement bodies in making endorsement decisions.
- Produce In-Service Support Reviews providing assurance of support solution effectiveness to inform FLCs.
- Undertake learning and development and upskilling as required.
