**About the role**

You will assist the Homeless Relief Team in the day to day running of the service. The team work in accordance with the housing legislation and provide a key role preventing and relieving homelessness and rough sleeping. You will be triaging referrals through to the Homeless Relief Officers, this will involve speaking to homeless applicants to obtain basic information, keeping records updated, managing invoicing on behalf of the team, assisting with temporary or emergency accommodation placements, and supporting the team and the senior officers to manage these placements. The role is 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. The team are currently hybrid working on a 50/50 split. The team are based over two locations, Macclesfield and Crewe, and work from both offices. The position is advertised as 12 month fixed term with the likelihood to extend for a further 12 months up to March 2026.

**About you**

You will have:
- Computer literacy and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Teams
- Great organisational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and self-motivation.
- Good team working skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients from a variety of backgrounds, some with complex needs.
- The ability to communicate with a variety professional.
- Knowledge of the Locate housing system would be advantageous but not essential.
