**People Services Risk and Governance Specialist**

We have an excellent opportunity to join our People Services function as a Risk and Governance Specialist. This is a newly created role which you will help shape and embed risk and control within People Services. You will play a key role supporting across a variety of regulatory and people related compliance activities across all teams in People Services and the wider People Division. You will be working closely with the People Services Specialist team and Payroll team as well as colleagues in Compliance, Data Protection & Financial Crime.

**About the Role**
- Management of the ROPA (record of processing activities), risk register, PIL (Personal Information Log) and DPIA (Data Protection Impact Assessments) for the People Services function
- First line monitoring of RCSA (Risk & Control Self Assessment) for the People Division checking controls are working and highlight when risks require attention
- Development and implementation of quality assurance measures, risk controls and assurance checks across all teams including SMCR annual checks
- The lead representative for all People Services audit matters aligned with the HR calendar being able to mobilise wider teams within the Division to obtain relevant information needed to demonstrate compliance, along with documenting all audit outcomes
- Custodian of the wider People Services documentation including contracts, HR templates and process guides
- Attend the periodic audit & compliance meetings as required to keep abreast of emerging audit requirements within the business and impact on the People Services deliverables, ensuring that all follow up actions are managed to a timely completion through the team

**About You**
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally with knowledge of People transactional activities and understanding of the customer service side of delivery
- Knowledge and understanding of People policy & legislation along with business processes pertaining to the employee life cycle
- Demonstrate understanding of GDPR and data protection principles and its impact both legally and commercially
- Having a high level of attention to detail with a risk oriented focus, sound judgment and strong analytical skills
- Experience in coordinating compliance reviews and audits
