A very rare opportunity has become available with a Global business with the office based in Ashton to join the management team as a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.
This role is responsible for managing the financial reporting of the entity, driving both cash generation and margin expansion. The duties of this role will involve: preparation of financial statements, reporting to the group, ensuring internal complianceand organising the budgeting & forecasting process.
**Your responsibilities will include:**
- Provide leadership, direction and management for the Finance team
- Manage, coach and develop the team utilising encouragement and empowerment
- Provide the senior team with timely and accurate financial information
- Comply with all local and corporate policies and submit all the financial information on time for the monthly and quarterly reporting
- Establish and maintain an environment of internal control and integrity, including the management of local Finance systems, suggesting process and systems improvements
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of the company accounts, including monthly reconciliation of all relevant balance sheet accounts
- Prepare the annual statutory accounts, working with external auditors
- Manage cash flow and banking, including the relationship with local banks
- Monitor entity’s CapEx and Net Working Capital

- Degree in Finance/Accounting but CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified is a bonus
- Minimum 6 years experience previously within a Senior finance role (preferably including some from audit/big 4 accountancy firms)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Previous experience with Private Equity is a plus
