We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our Dekko Finance team. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for all the accounts receivable duties such as managing the credit control process, ensuring timely payment from customers, and minimizing bad debt. This is a critical part of the business and attention to detail along with strong ability to instil and follow process is essential.

**Duties**:
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Ensuring payments received before goods are despatched for COD customers.
- Identifying, investigating and facilitating the prompt resolution of credit control queries.
- Maintaining notes so that all stakeholders can view the account status.
- Liaising with the finance manager regarding clients who have reached their credit limits.
- Input of receipts and allocation of those receipts against accounts.
- Reporting any overdue debts.
- Prepare Credit reports for Credit Control meetings.
- Managing a busy portfolio of customers, build relations with customers to help recover debts.
- Checking customer’s credit ratings
- Dealing with internal queries about payments
- Ensuring customers pay on time

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in credit control or a similar role within the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of credit control procedures and best practices
- Proficient in data entry and accounting software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and plan to meet deadlines and manage several issues concurrently
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
