As OCU Group continues to grow and develop, a vacancy for an HSEQ Regional Lead has arisen in our Southwest depots. We are looking for an experienced, Self-motivated HSEQ Manager to assist with the management of our contracts in the Midlands.

This post holder will provide expert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive culture. This is a key role in supporting the business to identify and control not only occupational Health & Safety risks but Environmental Impacts and Quality related Issues.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Managing a team of regional advisors and admin.
- Liaising with the business and clients on strategy and improvements.
- Support the business SHEQ objectives to assist in driving change and improvement.
- Provide administration and expertise support to Contracting and Operational teams as necessary.
- Logging and distribution of incoming SHEQ related communications.
- Provide feedback to the Sub Contractor and Supplier SHEQ compliance database.
- Review and audit office and site-based systems of work along with Controlled Files and Documents.
- Carry out site SHEQ Inspections as required.
- Operate within the requirements of the Company IMS Policy and Procedures.
- Produce required reports and statistics in line with timescales.
- Investigate incidents and agree actions to prevent further occurrence.
- Ensure Non-conformances are dealt with appropriately and closed out in within agreed timescales.
- Support the training plan and help identify ongoing training needs.
- Ensure client requirements are identified and embedded on sites.
- Liaise with client’s SHEQ personnel and take an active part in client forums.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- NEBOSH Certificate [Construction/General].
- NRSWA- Supervisor.
- Temporary Works Co-Ordinator/Supervisor.
- EUSR: SHEA Water & Hygiene.
- PC Skills - Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, Data collation and presentation.
- Strong Health, Safety & Environmental background, ideally in Construction, Utilities or Highways.
- Utility experience - Trenchless Methodologies preferable.
- Ability to gain in-depth knowledge of Company Policies, Procedures and Operational needs.
- Presentation Skills and ability to assist in delivery of training.
- Mentoring and support to Operational Teams.
- Communication Skills (Verbal, Written & Face to Face).
- Understanding of behavioural safety.
