Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Supply Chain Coordinator within the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. This role is pivotal in overseeing the operations at the Receipt and Distribution (R&D) facilities across the South and West Wales regions. You will collaborate closely with Regional Site Managers and Assistant Regional Supply Chain Managers to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures. The position is dynamic and will involve travel to various R&D locations to assist in the modernization of processes, review operational procedures in accordance with the NWSSP Document Management System (DMS), and work in partnership with all stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. A key responsibility of this role is to support all sites during Internal and External Audits, provide Site Management Cover as needed, and promote Health and Safety standards across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
The following duties are integral to this position:
- Supervise the distribution of workload among staff in accordance with established policies and processes.
- Ensure that adequate resources and equipment are available to meet daily operational demands.
- Maintain general security protocols within the Receipts area.
- Oversee staff activities to ensure that service standards meet customer expectations.
- Allocate staff to various daily tasks to maintain an effective and efficient stores operation as required.
- Update and maintain specific information in line with quality assurance procedures.
- Assist in the timely and appropriate unloading of vehicles and staging of items for distribution.
- Supervise and manage the booking-in process.
- Collaborate with management to implement process modernization initiatives.
- Monitor staff performance using various audit methods to analyze operational data.
