Founded by a former foster parent and social worker, Foster Care Associates (FCA) is a well-established fostering agency and part of the Polaris Community, one of the UK's leading networks of children's service providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist foster families in achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care.
- Monitor and evaluate the ongoing suitability and effectiveness of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Ensure foster carers are well-informed about their responsibilities, competencies, and the standards expected of them.
- Provide regular supervision to assigned foster parents in accordance with FCA's operational standards.
- Collaborate with all members of the child's support network to identify and address needs within the foster family.
- Ensure compliance with all necessary documentation for each child and foster parent.
- Attend meetings and prepare reports for commissioning teams regarding individual care packages.
- Encourage the participation of children and young people in agency development and community resource access.
- Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rotational basis.
- Engage in day duty systems to support referral teams.
- Conduct initial home visits and Form F assessments as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A recognized Social Work qualification
- Professional registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding practices
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays
- Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
- Valid driving license
