Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to take on the pivotal role of Lead Community Nurse within our District Nursing Service and Wound Clinic.

The ideal candidate will exhibit confidence and proficiency across a diverse skill set, showcasing a commitment to ongoing professional development. A flexible work approach and the ability to travel between various locations in a timely manner are essential for this position.

The successful candidate will possess a Specialist Practitioner Qualification in Community Health Studies and will have achieved or be pursuing a Master's degree. A management qualification is also considered advantageous.

This role presents multiple challenges, but the selected individual will be supported by a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses various responsibilities due to the complex nature of delivering care to patients outside of traditional hospital settings.

Proficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this position; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

Job Duties

The post holder is expected to operate autonomously, providing specialized professional guidance to colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality direct care. Experience Requirements

  • Significant relevant clinical experience at Band 7 or equivalent level
  • Proven experience in effective resource management

  • Experience within health and social service systems at both local and strategic levels
