**Job summary**:
An exciting opportunity has risen in the Education Centre at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust to join our friendly reception team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will be the first point of contact, providing a high quality, professional reception service to staff, colleagues and visitors to the Education Centre.

This is a Band 3 post at 37.5 hours per week and will be based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital with some cross site cover provided to the others sites (Solihull, Heartlands & Good Hope) if required for the needs of the service.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
The post holder will deal effectively with complaints either face to face or on the telephone and escalate concerns where necessary. Carry out administrative tasks including recording telephone messages and other enquiries, referring them as appropriate.

A sympathetic and sensitivity to the requirements of staff, service users when communicating by telephone or face to face, including dealing with a difficult situation, e.g. aggressive or demanding behaviour is paramount.

- Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment

**Experience**:

- Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience of using IT systems

**Desirable**:

- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Experience of working in Healthcare
