This homely children's residential setting is looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for caring for vulnerable children and young adults.

You will become part of an experienced team supporting children aged 7 to 17 living in a residential group home for various reasons. The young people may have attachment disorders, challenging behaviours, and social and emotional difficulties. As a key worker you will look after the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of the children, promoting independence and teaching basic life skills. With your guidance and support the young people have the ability to achieve their goals and ambitions and develop skills for independent living.

As a member of the care team, you will endeavour to bring out the best in every young person by supporting and guiding them in their daily lives. This could be in the form of helping the young person at school, accompanying them to take part in an activity or simply assisting them in completion of general daily tasks, including morning and night-time routines and by attending appointments.

**Personal requirements**:

- Experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with challenging behaviours.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a car (non-drivers will not be taken forward for the role).
- Able to work 2-3 days per week on the following shift pattern: 8am-11pm+sleep.
