About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join Pin Point Health & Social Care as Residential Childcare Workers at their Residential Children's Home in Fenham, Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, warm, and comfortable environment for up to five children and young people aged between 8 and 17 years old.
  • Support children with mild to moderate learning disabilities, who may have experienced trauma or exhibit emotional or behavioral difficulties.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the well-being and relationships of the children in care.
  • Adhere to organisational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team of Residential Childcare Workers.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential understanding of child development, therapeutic parenting, and the specific needs of children.
  • Desirable: QCF Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work on a shift rota system, including daytime, evening, and night shifts.
  • Residency within a commutable distance and eligibility to work in the UK.
Working Conditions

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts.
  • Night shifts.
  • Sleep-in shifts.
