This highly successful St. Albans based firm of accountants has undergone significant growth and has an excellent reputation and varied client base across Hertfordshire. The firm acts for wide range of SME's and includes, manufacturers, a wide range of professionalservice firms, IT developers, property investors and developers, hospitality businesses and not for profit entities. This role provides a great environment for the right payroll professional to carve a key role. They are flexible company with hybrid workingdependent on your preferences.

**Description**

**As Payroll Officer, your key responsibilities are**:

- Accurate data entry into Payroll database of sensitive and confidential client information in a timely manner and process payroll efficiently
- Maintain master payroll records for Real Time Information purposes
- Dealing with client enquiries in relation to payroll, benefit and expenses
- Upload of pension files to the relevant providers
- Completing payroll journals
- General database maintenance

**Profile**

**Required experience and characteristics**:

- Prior payroll officer experience/exposure
- Confidence speaking to stakeholders on payroll queries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Good organisational skills are also required as you may be working with multiple clients at any time
- organised and details-oriented
- Strong IT skills & some basic payroll experience are required; however all in-house systems training will be provided
