Commercial Administrator

We have an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and wants to further their career in the wholesale business, which provides opportunities for growth, change, and personal development.
The person in this role will report directly to the Commercial Manager and be responsible for supporting commercial business pricing, analysing market data, and providing project assistance.
The role was created as a result of the company's growth, which will provide several opportunities for progression, with the company anticipating exciting future plans.
This position also requires tight collaboration with key stakeholders as well as customer service and accounts teams, therefore, exceptional communication skills are required.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Prepare weekly and monthly price files for customers
Assist with price tenders
Manage the operation of customer purchasing platforms
Monitor customer pricing and analyse sales data
Admin support
Use historical trends and market conditions to provide cost forecasts
Conduct analysis of competitor data and recommend actions based on findings
**Requirements**:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Tech savvy - quick to learn new software; experience with online ordering platforms would be ideal
Excellent organisational skills
Basic understanding of fast-moving goods marketplace
Understand costings and margins would be helpful
**About us**:
Smith & Brock is a family-owned business supplying fresh and prepared fruits & vegetables, dairy, meat & fish to hotels, restaurants, events and contract caterers, bars, pubs and schools. The business also supplies dairy, chilled goods and a smattering of dry store products, which are mainly customer-led.
The business started trading in July 2016 from humble beginnings with a solitary hire van, brothers Nick and Joe and a driver. Whilst Joe and Nick have been in the industry for more years than they would like to admit, the impetus to create Smith & Brock was born out of frustration with being part of something that wasn’t doing things properly.
Their mission, very simply, is to have the best people supplying the best product with the best service at the right price to customers who value these attributes in a supplier.
Today the business employs over 180 members of staff and has a turnover in excess of £30m per annum, supplying some of the best addresses in London. From Michelin-star restaurants such as Sketch, Bibendum and Le Gavroche to award-winning hotels such as The Connaught and The Dorchester they continue to supply the very best UK hospitality has to offer.
Their continued growth saw them rank 2nd in “The Grocer’s fast 50” companies to watch in 2021.
**Employment**:
Full-time, Permanent
Location: 5-day week at our Deptford Office. 8-4 working hours but flexible on this.
**Salary**: £30,000 per annum dependent on experience.
