This is a role to work in the Mining Decarbonisation team which is growing and decarbonisation and broader sustainability goals in the sector cannot be achieved without the help of digital. The Mining Digital & Services team is dedicated to building, rollingout and scaling digital solutions that help our customers on their decarbonisation journey.

The products which the client is looking to commercialise are Emissions Management and Tailings Dam Risk Management; sold and billed on monthly SaaS basis.

The SaaS Sales Specialist will sit in an agile team with a firm start-up mentality, that thrives in ambiguity and solves for customer and operational challenges in a dynamic way, together. Seniority requirement for the role is 6-8 years of Sales experience,or less with a proven background in decarbonisation/sustainability in a relevant industry.

This role will be ideal for someone with a passion for how digital can enable decarbonisation and with a firm grasp and drive for commercial acumen.

**Responsibilities**:

- Own, build and nurture a pipeline of mining companies who have decision authority on purchasing and implementing new technologies, as well as the technical ownership and understanding of the processes we are looking to improve through digital solutions
- Develop relationships within prospect organisations to gain access to the right decision makers and manage any accounts
- Building commercial constructs and bid responses where relevant for deals.
- Contract negotiation with customers
- Coaching & upskilling Sales teams to commercialise SaaS solutions
- Close collaboration with Product team to provide customer feedback and facilitate interaction during co-create process, to ensure customer requirements are met and that the design is commercially viable

ROLE REQUIREMENT
- SaaS sales experience essential ideally in mining (or other B2B industries)
- Commercial acumen and building novel business models
- Technically savvy but able to communicate with non-technical people
- Strong interpersonal & presentation skills
- Comfortable with ambiguity and not always having the answer
- Strong collaborator both with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable with coaching non-software sales and commercial teams to present new solutions to their customers.
- Highly desired: understanding of mining processes and technologies
