You will be an integral part of a thriving Cloud Development Team which has responsibility for the planning and execution of the data migration and cleansing strategy. You will plan, action and report on the migration of client data from local sources (or existing cloud sources) to Microsoft’s O365 platform.

You will be highly motivated and organised with a track record of contributing to and following processes. Your engaging style and ability to relay technical information to non-technical people will enable you to develop and drive migration projects through to completion.

To support the planning and successful migration of data from multiple sources to Microsoft Office 365 tenant(s). This role will be part of the MLCSU Cloud Development Team with responsibility for the planning and execution of the data migration and cleansing strategy to support the migration of client data from local sources (or existing cloud sources) to Microsoft’s O365 platform.

The Team
The Cloud Development Team are a creative, forward-thinking group. We specialise in deploying, developing and supporting Microsoft Office 365 (O365) to our client base. We are entering an exciting period of growth, whereby we are looking to expand our team with additional talent.

The postholder will be based at one of our 4 main locations (based on their home address):

- Heron House-Staffordshire(ST4 4LX)
- Kingston House-Central Midlands(B70 9LD)
- Jubilee House-Lancashire(PR26 6TR)
- 1829 Building-Cheshire(CH2 1HJ)

- Produce data discovery reports that highlight data stored in the existing source locations, including data types, data age, file paths, file names, access permissions and details of when the data was last modified
- Ability to clearly explain and present the contents of the data discovery reports to colleagues, clients and users
- Contribute to the project plans and meetings relating to the data migration processes to be adopted
- Support the creation of the data migration strategy and execution plan to achieve key project milestones - considering initial, incremental and final migrations of near-static data, and data in use
- Raise any identified risks and issues to the project manager
- Produce detailed documentation/reports which show mappings to the new destination information architecture
- Define test cases, and quality control mechanisms to ensure all data is migrated correctly, in suitable volumes for the project phases
- Work with security and IG SMEs to ensure that all data migration activities are compliant within relevant legislation and guidelines
- Execute the data migration strategy to: - Test the data correctness and completeness
- Present outcomes of each migration phase and obtain consent to continue
- Document the data migration progress against the project schedule and report to the project manager/project team
- Migrate data to destination O365 tenant
- Verify and prove completion at each step.
